Heading into the championship race the odds to win it all tomorrow have Larson (+275) as a slight favorite, with Blaney (+285), Byron (+380) and Bell (+450) as the next best bets per DraftKings. With a win, Larson would become a multi-time champion, while the other three looking for their first title.

Earlier this season Larson led the most laps on this track after starting on the pole. In the end, Byron won the race, for back-to-back early season wins for Byron creating symmetry if he wins this weekend to be crowned the champion of the NASCAR Cup Series this year.

Blaney is looking like the early favorite going into this one, having achieved qualification with his third win of the season at Martinsville Speedway on Sunday. It’s been quite a turnaround for the man who was stuck in a hopeless 59-race losing streak until his breakthrough at the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte in May.

Of the four drivers in the mix, Larson is the only one with a cup title, having triumphed in 2021. Byron has already tasted victory at Phoenix Raceway this season, and comes into the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race as the series point leader. Having won the Homestead-Miami Speedway two weekends ago, Bell is also looking strong as one of NASCAR’s in-form men.

With the likes of Hamlin and Truex Jr. getting older and not making this season’s final cut, it's time for the four younger rivals to make their mark, and all four drivers have a real shot here.

Today is the penultimate day of the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series, setting the stage for a champion to be crowned. The final four drivers in contention to win the championship this season are Ryan Blaney, Christopher Bell, Kyle Larson and William Byron. All four drivers picked up wins during the playoffs, with Blaney winning twice, including the last race in the playoffs to set up the championship field. The NASCAR Cup Series Championship takes place in Avondale, Arizona at Phoenix Raceway for the second race of the season at this track. The highest finishing of the four championship drivers will win the title, making the starting position very important.

How to watch NASCAR’s Cup Series Championship: TV schedule, live stream, start time, more for title race

We go over how you can watch the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race and when at Phoenix Raceway on Sunday, November 5.

NASCAR wraps up the 2023 season on Sunday and the Cup Series will close it out at Phoenix Raceway. The Cup Series Championship Race runs on Sunday afternoon with the green flag dropping at 3 p.m. ET on NBC.

If you’re not in front of a TV, you can view the race via live online stream at NBC Sports Live or through the NBC Sports App. You will need a cable log-in to stream the race, so if you don’t have one, you can try out YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV Now, FuboTV, or Sling TV to stream the race.

The four finalists for Sunday’s race are Ryan Blaney, Christopher Bell, Kyle Larson, and William Byron. Larson is the only one of the four drivers to previously win the season-long championship. He won two years ago, capping the season with a win at the season-ending Championship Race.

Byron claimed the pole for Sunday’s race and Martin Truex, Jr. Will join him on the front row. Of the remaining playoff drivers, Larson will start fourth, Bell will start 12th, and Blaney will start 15th.

Larson enters race day as a +300 favorite to win at DraftKings Sportsbook. Byron, Blaney, and Bell all follow at +380. Kevin Harvick is the first non-playoff driver on the odds board at +500 and then it drops to Truex, Jr. and Denny Hamlin at +1600. The past three Phoenix races have seen the season-long Cup Series champion win the race.

Since 2014, NASCAR has held its postseason under the current “round” playoff system, leading to many exciting finishes. The reason is that four competitors battle for the title, with whoever has the best finish being crowned champion.

William Byron is the only one of the three who did not finish first during the Round of 8, with this being his first Championship 4 appearance. He entered the playoffs after finishing second to Martin Truex Jr. in the regular-season standing. The driver of the No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports machine won in the Round of 12 at Texas, his season-leading sixth checkered flag. Byron has not earned the right to be called champion, but vies to become the third Hendrick driver in the last four years to win the championship.

One of those two drivers was Kyle Larson, who looks to become the 18th driver to win two Cup Series titles. The No. 5 driver is one of two drivers to have a pair of wins in these playoffs, winning the postseason opener in Darlington, also winning at Las Vegas in the previous round, giving Larson four overall victories in 2023.

The other two drivers have also not been champions. Ryan Blaney made it to the Round 8 last year, despite not winning a single race. This season, a win at Charlotte ended a nearly two-year drought for the Team Penske star, following that up with wins at Talladega in the Round of 12, before winning last Sunday at Martinsville to clinch a spot in the Championship 4 for the first time in his career.

Christopher Bell did not need the crazy wins to move through the postseason as he did in 2022, but he is an underdog in his second straight trip to the championship race. A win at Homestead two weeks ago placed him in the final four, with a third win in 2023 confirming another title for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Byron won at Phoenix during the regular season in March, while Larson won two years ago to clinch the championship.
